Features include living room with a large stone wood burning fireplace, beamed ceilings, and fully equipped large kitchen with granite countertops and gas stove. The den is furnished with a large sectional and regular sofa so everyone can snuggle up and watch movies or play games. It is open to the dining room which looks out to the comfortably furnished back screened porch.
There are 7 bedrooms with sleeping arrangements for 12 people. The Master Bedroom is located on the main level, just off the kitchen. It has a dreamy comfortable bed and TV. It also has double doors that open to the large front deck. There are two other bedrooms on the first floor. One has 2 twin beds and the other has a King. Upstairs there is a bedroom with a double bed, one with 2 twin beds, one with a king and a large room with a Queen, twin and sofa. This room also has a balcony.
All linens are provided, as well as starter paper products. Every detail has been considered for your comfort. The house is professionally cleaned before your arrival, and brochures and maps are provided.
Enjoy 12 miles of hiking trails - many are next to streams and creeks. Other outside activities to enjoy are the 6 hole disc golf course, volleyball or football/soccer in the meadow. Dinner is served on site at Canyon Kitchen Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights with Brunch offered Sunday. Chef John Fleer (formerly of Blackberry Farms) is back this year serving his wonderful 5 course dinners.
If you decide to leave and explore the area, Cashiers is just 3 miles away for dining/shopping and Highlands is 10 miles away. Lake Glenville is nearby if you decide to spend the day boating or skiing.
Although small, Cashiers always has events going on in and around town. Check with the Chamber of Commerce for a schedule, and be sure to check out the web site for Lonesome Valley to learn more about this amazing retreat and all the amenities it offers.
Lonesome Valley recently hosted over 20 plein air landscape painters who were in Cashiers for the Village Green Arts Event. Many beautiful paintings of LV resulted from this fun day.
